Sightseeing
As optional extras there are visits to famous places in the capital, to the theatre and to concerts together with optional weekend excursions to such places as Oxford, Cambridge and Stratford. Three to four day tours to the Lake District, Wales, Scotland and Paris are additional features of an attractive and extensive itinerary.

The best Sports Centre in Britain is 15 minutes walk away. It offers superb facilities for swimming, tennis and athletics and opportunities to attend international sports meetings.

Nightlife
We offer a stimulating programme of out-of-school activities including free video evenings, discotheques and receptions. Discos and parties for students and staff are regular features. Our Social Activities Department is open every day to offer advice and help with arranging any activities which are of special interest to you individually.
Everyday England
We try, also, to involve you in what's going on locally. You may be asked to take one of our cassette recorders and record an interview with your host-family or with people in the street and your recordings are studied later in class.

In this way you are getting to understand natural everyday English. We may take you to interesting varied places, such as the Law Courts to listen to a court case or to a factory to see the English at work. These activities, like our excursions and visits, are enjoyable in themselves and give you more English practice.
