The teachers at AngloschoolTeachers are the most important part of any school. Our teachers are a highly qualified professional team, normally graduates of Universities and Colleges with a Teaching Certificate in TEFL. All have the special, personal qualities that distinguish a good teacher -- patience and understanding. They are dynamic, relaxed and enthusiastic,
with the ability to create a friendly, sympathetic atmosphere in which
you are treated as an adult so that you will have the confidence to communicate,
express yourself and learn. |

David Bartlett "As Director of Studies I'm responsible for the academic standards of Angloschool; it's my job to see that you're in the right class for your level of English with the best teachers. Along with the staff at Angloschool I make sure that you can make the most effective use of our facilities and therefore will make good progress with your English. I'm interested in music and help to organise our Summer Charity Concert. I enjoy working in the friendly, professional atmosphere of Angloschool and look forward to seeing you here soon!" |
| Maurice West "I'm the Senior Teacher at Angloschool and I work closely with Dave. I'm responsible for the Cambridge Exams that we run here. I've been here a long time and have always enjoyed the company of colleagues and students alike in the relaxed but still purposeful atmosphere of the school. My outside interests are the theatre (both
as actor and audience member) and indeed all the Arts. English is a source
of perpetual fascination to me and I hope to convey some of this interest
to visiting students." |

Nick Hall "I was educated in Australia and the Old Dart. My major was the Burmese Language and Linguistics at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University. I've written books on grammar and vocabulary. I enjoy working at Angloschool because it's
close enough to the centre of London to go out in the evening but during
the day it's pleasant to be in a quiet, green area of the city. I also
enjoy meeting such a wide range of nationalities." |
| Chris Cotton "How do you do? I'm pleased to meet you on the Internet and hope to see you later at Angloschool. I've been teaching English for ten years, eight of them at Angloschool. I think that good teaching requires sound
language theory, imaginative student-centred techniques, a fresh, modern
environment, and good equipment. Most importantly the teacher must be
able to see the good in people; when a lesson works well a little bit
of magic happens." |

Doreen Hinchliffe "After doing an honours degree in English at Leeds University, I qualified as a teacher in Uganda where I taught for two years. Since then I have worked in a variety of mainstream schools in England. In 1992 I gained a TEFL qualification and have taught at Angloschool for 4 years. I very much enjoy working here because of the friendly, informal atmosphere and excellent facilities." |
|
Our teachers are continually improving their teaching skills through the further training we provide and through our interests in developing teaching methods. We are one of the few schools in Britain entrusted with the responsibility of training teachers. Our separate Teacher Training Institute is recognised by the Royal Society of Arts and the University of Cambridge. |

|
| Ana Christina Lopes ( Brazil ) "The principal reasons I came here were the quick answer I got to my enquiry and the length of the lessons. There is also a modern teaching method." |
