This English for a Special Purpose course
is intended for students of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and for
technicians, engineers and designers. Students can choose from 30 units
that contain authentic reading and listening passages from a wide variety
of sources. The course aims to combine the students' technical knowledge
with communication and business English. |
This course provides 6 lessons of study per day split into 3 modules:
- Module one is in group format and consists of 2 lessons
concentrating on communication.
- Module two is in group format and consists of 2 lessons on business
English.
- Module three is on a one to one basis for two lessons where the
student has the choice of engineering topics.

Optionally, students can apply for National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) certification
in listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.
