Enrolment Details: The Bournemouth International Language College

There are two ways to enrol:

Complete a student application form and we will email all the information you require.
OR: go to our Agents page and email the agent in your country. The Agent will advise and guide you, and give you all the printed information including an Application form. Return the completed Application form and the enrolment fee to your Agent. Your Agent will then contact the College and confirm your placement.

COURSES AND FEES: All fees are stated in ŁŁŁ English pounds.

ENROLMENT FEE Ł50 English pounds per student This covers all administration costs, your academic books; your pack of stationery and your Welcome pack; your information pack; your Certificate and photograph.

ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TUITION (EFL) Ł125 English pounds per week. This provides for 20 lessons per week (each lesson lasts for 45 minutes). There is a maximum of 5 people in a group class. Bookings are normally from 1 to 4 week periods: but you can extend this if you wish. All EFL and ESP courses start on any Monday and finish on any Friday, for as many weeks as you decide.

OPTIONAL EXTRA TUITION: English for a special purpose (ESP) Ł25 English pounds per lesson. These sessions are one tutor to one student, and are designed to school you in the use of English in your chosen subject or profession.

EXAMINATION FEES:

NVQ Certificate(s): Ł50 English pounds per level.
Cambridge Certificates: First and Advanced. Ł65 English pounds per examination.
IELTS Certificate: Ł65 English pounds per examination.

ADDITIONAL BUSINESS COURSES: Short courses for both native and non-native speakers of English . These regularly scheduled courses are designed to promote business skills in a specialised area.

AIRPORT TO HOST FAMILY TRANSFER Airport collection and return journey can be arranged - contact us for current prices.

LOCAL BUS TRAVEL A bus pass allows you to travel all around the local area as much as you like. You can buy a bus pass for as many weeks as you want. Current prices are approximately Ł18 per week; or Ł52 pounds for 4 weeks but please contact us for current prices.

Student Application form

TEFL Teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) This course is for those who speak English and wish to teach it either in their own country or abroad. It also includes a practical teaching session. Subject to availability.

HOST FAMILY ACCOMMODATION CHARGES

Host family accommodation includes:

half board - this means bed, breakfast and evening meal Monday to Friday, plus lunch on Saturday and Sunday

a separate room properly furnished

tea and coffee available on request

the use of an iron and ironing board and hair dryer

weekly change of towels and bedding

weekly room cleaning

weekly clothes washing

access to TV and radio

regular conversation with the host family

Total cost Ł80 English pounds per week.
The College promises to find the most suitable and best available accommodation at the time of your booking. The earlier you book - the better standard of accommodation can be found for you.
Accommodation is booked only for students attending lessons at The College. Accommodation is not arranged for any time in England which is not linked to tuition periods i.e. The College does not arrange holiday accommodation.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

There are hundreds of hotels in Bournemouth to choose from. Have a look at a typical example of a mid-range, family run Bournemouth hotel: The Durley Court hotel. The College can supply a list on request, or you can look on the Bournemouth Tourist Information web site. The College will not be responsible for arranging hotel accommodation, or for the standard of accommodation provided.

PLEASE NOTE:

There are absolutely no supplements to be charged. There are no hidden costs from The College or from your agent. What you see here is what you pay.

Ensure you always get receipts from your agent for any money transactions.

All fees must reach The College's bank four weeks prior to your arrival in England.

Please remember that all bank charges for transfer of money into Ł sterling (both international and English) are the responsibility of the student.

Cancellation charges

More than 4 weeks notice of cancellation, a full refund is made.

Between 2 and 4 weeks notice of cancellation, The College will make a full refund less Ł200 to cover administrative cancellation procedures and charges.

Less than 2 weeks notice of cancellation, no refund can be made for courses of 4 weeks or less, but any residue over this period will be refunded.
