Conditions of Enrolment

Age

• Minimum age is 16

Payment

• Full payment must be received before you can begin your course.
• Your booking will not be processed until you have paid at least the deposit of £245.
• You may pay by:
  • credit card (not American Express)
  • International bank transfer
  • Sterling Bank Cheque (drawn on a UK bank)
• If you are paying by credit card, complete the Secure Server enrolment form here and Central School of English will contact you usually within 24 hours to confirm your booking.
• If you are paying by international bank transfer, please fax us a copy of the transfer document telling us that you have enrolled from our website. We will contact you to confirm your booking after we have received the fax.
• If you pay by any other method, we will process the booking when we receive payment.

Cancellation of tuition

• If you cancel before your course starts, we will refund all fees paid less £245 (deposit amount)
• If you cancel as a result of a visa refusal, on production of the official refusal letter from the embassy or consulate, we will refund all fees less a cancellation charge. This applies if cancellation notice is received 7 days or more before due arrival date.
• Tuition fees are not refundable after the course start date. You will forfeit tuition fees for the days or weeks involved if you arrive late, are absent or leave before the end of your booked course.

Accommodation

• If you want to change or cancel your accommodation, you must give Central School of English 8 days' notice or pay one week's accommodation charge.
• If your accommodation involves extra days, you will be charged a daily rate for up to three days. More than three days will be charged at the full weekly rate.
• Accommodation fees are never to be paid directly to the family or residence
• In arranging accommodation, Central School of English is acting as the suppliers' agent.
• Accommodation is booked from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday, except for Nevern House (where it is booked from Sunday to Saturday).

Holidays

• The school is open on public holidays.
• The school will close on 25th December 2008 and 26th December 2008.

Attendance / Conduct

• Central School of English reserves the right to refuse admission to or dismiss any student without refund of tuition fees in the event of misconduct or unsatisfactory attendance or work.

Beginners / examination courses

• These courses will only take place if there is sufficient demand

Liability

• Central School of English does not accept any liability for loss or damage to property.
• We recommend that all students take out adequate insurance before leaving their home country. If you require us to arrange this, please email us for full details.
