Are you interested in special long term courses?

We offer courses in English as a foreign language at our Wimbledon Centre for students aged 16 or more:

General English

Intensive Course: mornings and afternoons, 4.5 hours in total per day

Mornings only course: 3 hours per day

Cambridge Examination Courses

Preliminary English Test
First Certificate in English
Certificate in Advanced English
Certificate of Proficiency in English

You can begin a course on any Monday (Tuesday after a public holiday) and stay for any period from 2 weeks to 52 weeks.

Examination courses begin on dates specified on the insert. New students are tested on the morning of their first day and allocated to the appropriate level of English class.

Your course will cover

Coursebook work: grammar, listening, reading, writing, pair work, problem-solving tasks, and vocabulary exercises
Oral work: pair work, group discussions, debates, role-play, pronunciation, syllable stress, sentence stress and intonation.

Classes take place in bright modern class rooms, well equipped with audio-visual aids including videos. To ensure close personal attention to each student, the maximum number of students in a class is 12.

Our Director of Studies and class teachers will monitor your progress and give assistance on individual learning problems. You can advance to higher levels as your standard improves and you will receive an end-of-course certificate for the level you attain. If you wish to go on to a British University or College of Higher or Further Education, we can help you to improve your English to the required IELTS or TOEFL level and advise you on the choice of where and what to study.
